CHICAGO, IL - Hydraforce, Inc. introduces a Soft Shift Controller as part of their expanding line of electronic controls designed for accurate control of hydraulic proportional valves used in mobile equipment and industrial processes.

The Soft Shift Controller provides a time delay for the soft start of directional, flow, and pressure control proportional solenoid valves. When the unit is powered on, it ramps to maximum current over a selected ramp on time. When the power is switched off, output of the unit immediately falls to zero. The design incorporates a superimposed dither to reduce friction effects and increase the linearity of the valve. Mounted directly on the coil with a DIN 43650 connection, the Soft Shift Controller interfaces to a 9 to 28 VDC power supply via a two meter cable. Designed for the rugged mobile environment, it holds an IP65 protection rating. The maximum output current of 2 Amps is user adjustable and ramp on time is also adjustable over a factory set range. Lower cost "fixed" versions are also available for customized OEM application.
