The standard non-contact 3 phase brushless motors have an ironless core resulting in a low inertia stage for high acceleration and higher useful loads. The motor can be commutated either sinusoidally or trapezoidally for optimum performance. They have a peak force to 2444 N (550 lb.) and continuous force to 733 N (165 lbs). H2W Technologies SR Linear Positioning Stages are available in travel lengths to 3 m (10 ft.) and can be supplied with a glass or metal scale encoder with a home reference mark, marks at 50 mm intervals, and limit switches. Custom mounting holes can be specified and complete motion control systems including an SR stage with encoder, amplifier and a controller are available for easy integration into a new or existing application.
