Fall River, MA -- Maxon's new DEC 70/10 is a compact, digital, velocity/torque controller designed for controlling brushless motors up to 700 watts equipped with hall sensors. Maximum speed is 80,000 RPM for 2-pole motors. Requiring a supply voltage of 10 to 70 V DC, the controller can deliver 90% of the supply voltage to the motor at 10 A continuous current or 20 A peak current. Velocity or torque can be controlled via a +/-10 V signal, an external potentiometer, or internal potentiometers.

Enable, and stop inputs may be activated via external switches. There is also a ready output as well as a speed/current monitor output. Weighing in at approximately 400 g (14 oz) and measuring 120 X 103 X 27 mm (4.7 X 4.1 X 1.1 in), the ambient operating temperature range of the amplifier is -10 to 45 degrees C (14 to 113 degrees F).
