|Miniature Voice Coil Motor With Large Air Gap Available from Moticont!
Van Nuys, CA - Motion Control Components - The miniature Linear Voice Coil Motor, LVCM-022-013-02, from Moticont features 5.9 oz. (1.6 N) continuous force and 18.7 oz. (5.2 N) peak force in a compact 0.875 in. (22.2 mm) diameter by 0.50 in. (12.7 mm) long. These clean, quiet, efficient, low inertia, high acceleration, high speed motors have zero cogging and feature high accuracy and high repeatability to less than1 μm (0.00004 in.) when operated in a closed loop configuration as a DC servo motor.
This motor is designed with a larger air gap of 0.059 in (1.5 mm). The larger air gap allows the motor to be used for: vibration, noise cancelation, photonics, gimbals, medical devices, semiconductor handling, SMT machines, assembly, wafer handling, optical focusing, dynamic vibration absorption, scanners and laser beam steering and filtering where excessive side play or tilt is required.
The miniature LVCM-022-013-02 linear voice coil motor has a stroke length of 0.25 in (6.4 mm) and can be easily incorporated in to new or existing applications using 4-40 UNC-2B mounting holes on each end of the motor. Other smaller and larger models as well as custom designs are available. The LVCM-022-013-02 linear voice coil motor can be ordered as a complete plug-and-play system including an encoder and controller.
