Educational users, with their requirement for an inexpensive, yet a highly instructional blend of basic know-how and extensive functionality, culminating in the design, programming and operation of a virtual robot system.

Industrial robot programmers benefit from the essential functionality, 3D simulation, and modeling capability of the COSIMIR Industrial package. Users can easily perform off-line programming of Mitsubishi robot systems, and have a graphical "dry run" representation of the their work.

COSIMIR Professional is the "Crown Jewel" for today’s robot technology, with professional 3D software for modeling, simulation and programming of various industrial robot systems, and a new "learning environment" developed by COSIMIR Educational. Graphics are Open-GL standard, providing the capability to produce simple wireframes or shaded representations, including cosmetic controls.

Modeling with COSIMIR Professional is made simple by virtue of the libraries of robots, end effectors and automation components. The program also imports several CAD formats.

The simulation mode, permits the testing of cell and tool designs, since all movements and handling operation in the modeled cell can be simulated immediately to identify potential problems (such as collisions), and to optimize movements and cycle times. Various enhancements to the display and the program’s interactive characteristics make these simulations a most advantageous alternative to traditional methods of accomplishing the tasks involved.

The programming feature supported by COSIMIR Professional, permits off-line programming of the default robot (Mitsubishi), or alternate robots which are compatible with the IRL (DIN 66312) language.
