High Precision Positioning Stage is Compact and Low Cost
Valencia, CA High precision, low cost, compact, open type positioning stages that are ideal for positioning applications requiring high speed and high acceleration of lighter loads (to 55 lbs 25 Kg) have been introduced by H2W Technologies. Available in stroke lengths to 120 inches (3 m), The SR Positiong Stages have a positioning accuracy of ±.0007" /ft (±68 micron / meter) and a repeatability* ±.0004" ±10 micron. Flatness of the stages is ±.0012"/ft (±99 micron/meter) and straightness is ±.0013" /ft (±104 micron/meter). They are ideal for pick-and-place, assembly, and testing applications.
The integral 3-phase, brushless, ironless core linear motors can be commutated either sinusoidally or trapezoidally. There is no magnetic attractive force to the stationary magnet assembly, which reduces the load and increases life of the bearing system. Linear motors supply up to 165 lbs. (733 N) of continuous force and 550 lbs .(2444 N) of peak force. Additionally, the lower moving mass of the stage allows for high velocities of 240 inches/sec (6 m/s), and accelerations to 12 Gs with light payloads.
Non-contact glass or metal scale optical linear encoders with a reference mark for homing can be selected. Multiple reference marks are available and are spaced every 50 mm down the length of the scale. Typical encoder output is A and B square wave signals but sinusoidal output is available as an option.
The cable carrier is oversized to allow for passage of customer payload cables and hoses. The back of the cable carrier can be easily removed and reattached to route additional cables.
