| The R208 Step Motor Driver - The Affordable High quality Step Motor Driver
Santa Clara, CA April 2003 Lin Engineering, the step motor specialists, in conjunction with RMS Technologies has come up with a cost effective solution to high priced drivers. The R208 offers the customer uncompromising performance without the usual high price that is associated with such drivers. RMS Technologies designs and manufactures cutting edge, low cost, high performance step motor drivers and power supplies, exclusively for Lin Engineering.
The R208 Driver is compact in design with low power dissipation and automatic current reduction. It is able to provide up to 2.0 Amps of phase current to any bipolar step motor. Users have the option of setting the micro stepping resolution from full step, half step, 1/4 step to 1/8 step.
The R208 drive unit is even able to utilize a 12-24 VDC power supply in order to produce constant sinusoidal current waveforms. Additionally, the driver features optically isolated step, direction and disable inputs. Finally, it offers a built-in thermal shut down and efficient current control features.
