Fall River, MA -- The Maxon 1-Q-EC 35 V amplifier provides electronic commutation for brushless DC Motors. The small size and economical price make this controller ideal for a variety of applications. Feedback is achieved via Hall effect sensors built in to the motor. Speed is determined via the bus voltage, eliminating the need for an additional signal voltage or potentiometer. Inputs are designed to select direction or disable power using TTL, CMOS or a switch. For high efficiency, the output power stage is designed using MOSFET technology. Supply voltage is 12-35 VDC, with a 4 V drop to the motor. Maximum continuous current is 3.5 A, or 5 A with an additional heat sink, and the controller is internally protected against thermal overload. Controller measures 84 mm X 55 mm (3.3" X 2.16"), and is 32 mm high (1.26") including connector. The connector is removable so that the controller can also be mounted directly to a circuit board. Weight is 100 g, (3.5 oz). Ambient temperature range is -40 degrees to 85 degrees C, (-40 degrees to 185 degrees F) for storage, and -10 degrees to 45 degrees C, (14 degrees to 113 degrees F) for operation. The amplifier is CE approved signifying electromagnetic compatibility in the European market.
