Source Engineering of Santa Clara, CA in addressing those concerns has expanded their already broad range of high quality, low cost hybrid steppers and drivers that can be delivered in as little as 5 weeks! These high quality Hybrid steppers from NEMA 14 to NEMA 42 are ideally suited for robitics, toys, consumer products, graphics equipment, scanners, mirror positioning, semiconductor manufacturing and testing, pick-and-place, circuit board testing, rotary and linear positioning stages, medical testing equipment, and assembly operations.

Models include: Standard hybrid steppers, high-torque, high-resolution (0.9O step angle), and high-torque/high-resolution steppers. The torque range of these 4 lead and 6 lead models is from 2.35 oz-in. to 4,200 oz-in., the voltage range is 1.5 VDC to 12 VDC, and the current range from .28 amps/phase to 8.0 amps/phase. Available with a single or double shaft, the shaft lengths can be specified and are available with or without flats, keyways, and pinions. Other options include: motor length, windings, bearings, mounting threads, lead wires (type, color, length, and with or without a specified connector), gear boxes and encoders. Additionally, custom design hybrid, stepper motors are also avavailable.

Also available are compact (2.25 in. wide x 3.0 in. high x 1.0 in. deep), low cost, two phase bipolar drivers for NEMA 17, 23, and NEMA 34 motors. The drivers can be used with 4,6, and 8 lead motors. Features include: 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and full step, 1.5 to 3.0 amps/phase (6.0 amps/phase max), 12 to 50 VDC input voltage, idle and running current adjustments.

Source Engineering also meets the needs of OEM’s with a wide variety of very low cost 25, 35, and 42 mm permanent magnet steppers. Holding torques of these 7.5O step angle steppers range from 1.57 to 2.35 oz-in. (25 mm models), 3.47 to 6.25 oz-in. (35 mm models), and 5.5 to 9.0 oz-in. (42 mm models).
